Yeahhhh, I didn’t really like Brave a whole lot. I’m a gigantic Pixar fan (probably a quarter of my 20 favorite movies were made by the studio), but with Cars 2 (HEY GUYS LET’S MAKE A SEQUEL TO CARS AND HAVE IT BE A SPY MOVIE FOR NO REASON) and now Brave, I’m beginning to feel like the golden era of the studio is behind them. Especially when their next film looks like another unnecessary sequel…or prequel. Even worse.

HEY GUYS DIDN’T YOU WONDER HOW MIKE AND SULLY FROM MONSTERS INC BECAME FRIENDS?? No. No we didn’t. How about a sequel where Boo is grown up and has to hide Sully and Mike from humans in the real world? You know, like a reversal of the original movie? Maybe that would be interesting. But a college movie…for kids? So, like a G-rated Animal House but with monsters? I don’t know, any plot can be turned into a good story, but this one doesn’t fill me with confidence.

I may go into more detail on why I didn’t like Brave after more of you have seen it. I have a feeling part of the reason I didn’t get much out of it is because I’m not a daughter or a mother. Not yet, anyway.
